The conference SPS2026 calls for scientific contributions. The corresponding papers will be peer-reviewed, published in proceedings and presented during the conference. Please follow the below timeline, for submission of the abstract and, if accepted, of a corresponding manuscript. The scientific submission procedure will be carried out in the EasyChair portal system. The papers will be published in the IOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering, publisher IOP, which will be electronically available as open access. The conference language is English.
Authors from academia, industry, and research institutes are invited to submit an abstract in the SPS'2026 Conference Management System, EasyChair, before September 5th, 2025 (note: extended deadline).
The abstract should include no author names, no author affiliations, and as little as possible any other indications on the origins of the authors, in figures, text or references.
To register an author account and submit an abstract, please use the following link:
https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=sps2026
Please structure the abstract using these headings:
- Title (preliminary)
- Keywords (3-5)
- Topic(s) (select one from the below-listed topics)
- Abstract (150-600 words). The abstract should give an outline of the final paper, indicating the paper’s merits and relevance to the symposium scope, a brief account of the results and the conclusions.
Notification of acceptance will be sent at the latest on September 1st, 2025 (for late abstracts until September 12th, 2025).
After acceptance of your abstract, please submit your manuscript, again in the Conference Management System EasyChair. You need to strictly follow the guidelines for authors for SPS 2026, which can be downloaded here.
Note that because of a change of the publisher by year-shift, the guidelines have changed. In particular, a template needs to be applied and the document is submitted as camera-ready .pdf-manuscript, according to the updated guidelines. You also need to sign an author declaration form, which can be downloaded here.
Your manuscript will be peer-reviewed and you will receive corresponding comments. The final paper should be 6-12 pages long, but no strict page limit is applied. The required language is English. You must submit the paper until the deadline, October 15, 2025, extended to October 29, 2025, as late submissions will not be considered in the review process.
All full papers will be subject to peer-review by the scientific committee. Review comments on full papers will be sent back to the corresponding author at the latest on November 30th, 2025.
In case of revision iterations needed, the final accepted version has to be submitted until January 23rd, 2026.
